The Best Tourist Attractions of Kuala Lumpur

One of my favorite travel destinations in Asia is Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian capital city is not only one of the cleanest cities in Asia but it also offers plenty of great tourist attractions for travelers. I have been to KL a number of times and each time I continue to find outstanding new places and fun and thrilling activities.

If you would like to visit Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the first time then you should definitely visit some of the wonderful attractions listed in this article.

Petronas Twin TowersThe most famous landmark of Kuala Lumpur is without a doubt the Petronas Twin Towers which at one time was the tallest structure in the world. The KL Twin Towers are 452 meters in height and was constructed in 1998. A few places which you can visit here include the luxurious Suria KLCC mall and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park
If you are planning to visit the Malaysian capital city with your kids then you should definitely plan a visit to the world famous Sunway lagoon theme park. It is generally considered to be one of the premier theme parks in all of Asia. The Sunway Lagoon is located on eighty acres and it is home to a large selection of pools, slides, rides and other fun and entertaining activities. There is even an amazing zoo at this excellent attraction.

Shopping

A very popular activity among many tourists and travelers is shopping. Prices for many products are considerably less expensive in Kuala Lumpur then what you would be expected to pay back in your home country. Shoppers can choose from a wide range of malls, markets and specialized stores. Please note that you should pay in local currency and that most larger and upscale stores accept international credit cards.

Batu CavesThe Batu Caves are located just north of the Malaysian capital and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country. These giant caves are located in the limestone hills and have been home to various religious structures and ceremonies of the local Hindu population.
